Of the various challenges which have confronted the worldwide provide chain for the reason that COVID-19 pandemic started, a scarcity of semiconductor chips has been one of the vital.
Within the wake of the semiconductor scarcity, the function of electrical and electronics engineers has turn out to be much more crucial to the U.S. economic system. Electrical engineers design, develop, take a look at, and supervise the manufacture {of electrical} gear, together with semiconductors.
As extra of the fashionable economic system turns into tied to electronics, engineers’ work is important to continued progress and innovation. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that a lot of the progress in electrical engineering employment will probably be in high-demand fields like semiconductors, photo voltaic installations, shopper electronics, and communications expertise.
Electrical engineers could be present in almost each a part of the U.S. economic system. Compensation for electrical engineers can differ by geography.
